Todd Nash will be organizing the North County Youth Choirs, a set of choirs dedicated to singing sacred, classical, and wholesome music from Broadway shows, and training youth in higher levels of vocal music performance.  There will be try outs and parts assigned.  It is important the remember that your child will be a part of the group.  This is a venue for group instruction in vocal performance, and for group performance.  It is not the venue for your child to become a soloist or an individual star.  There are many other areas you can pursue these objectives, but this is not one.  Please remember this as you enroll.

The choirs will be divided by age and ability, with the basic age divisions being:

Choir 1: Grades 5-8

Choir 2: Grades 9-12

When there are enough participants, the choirs will be split into 3 age groups:

Choir 1: Grades 3-5

Choir 2: Grades 6-8

Choir 3: Grades 9-12

Schedule: The choirs will begin rehearsals in January, meeting Monday nights beginning January 7, 2008.  There will be one spring concert in May, the date to be announced after starting in January.  Rehearsals will be held on the following dates:

January 7, 14, 21, 28               

February 4, 11, 18, 25            

March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

April 7, 14, 21, 28

May 5, 12, 19

Fees: The choir will be $300 for the 5 month period of January-May if you are paying with a check.  This is due with registration before the first rehearsal. 

For students who will have their choir paid for by their school or any other source that requires billing, the choir will be $70/month for 5 months, January - May.  Any purchase orders must reflect the entire 5 month period in the initial purchase order, or the difference must be made up by the family with a check.
